Katie discovered Pilates more than twenty years ago after reading a magazine article that sparked her curiosity about this “exciting new workout.” What began as a few classes with a friend before her wedding soon became a lifelong practice that has supported her through every season of life.Drawn to Pilates’ precision, control, and mindfulness, Katie found that the discipline perfectly complemented her academic focus while earning a Ph.D. in Anthropology—and continues to provide the same clarity and strength she brings to her professional and personal life today.
As a high school World History teacher and nonprofit founder who helps families develop personalized approaches to education, Katie relies on Pilates to maintain both physical vitality and mental balance. The practice grounds her amid full days of teaching, leadership, and family life.
At home in Reston, Katie enjoys time with her husband, daughter, two lively cats, and a lovable Mastiff who constantly challenges her sense of balance—on and off the mat.
